Maryland now requires household goods movers operating commercial motor vehicles on moves within the state to be registered. The registration process includes requirements involving proper liability and cargo insurance, workers’ compensation coverage, DOT information, and good-standing documentation.

We believe this is a positive step for Maryland consumers and for reputable moving companies.
